Bridget Piper (Psychologist)
Overview
Bridget is New Zealand trained and a registered Psychologist with experience working in a range of contexts both in NZ and overseas. Her family are neurodivergent, and Bridget brings this lived experience to her work.
Bridget works from a strengths-based, solutions focussed, collaborative approach. Bridget likes to identify peoples’ priorities for growth and change, with a focus on improving quality of life. One of her key skills is providing practical, individualised advice around improving interactions between adults and young people. She values Te Tiriti o Waitangi and seeks to provide culturally responsive support.
Skills and Experience
Bridget has experience in supervising youth mentors and people working in health provider settings. Bridget has run training on a range of topics for schools and NGOs including “Understanding Behaviour”, “How to support neurodivergent teens” and “Supporting young people who have experienced trauma.
